Saidi Weekend – Technique & Choreography Workshops 📍 Oiposho Dance Studio, Erich-Nehlhans-Straße 19, 10247 Berlin 🗓️ 16 & 17 January 2026 Join us for two special workshops dedicated to the energetic and rhythmic Saidi (Assaya) dance style — one focused on technique, and one on choreography. You may join one workshop or both. ⸻ 🔹 Workshop 1 – Saidi Technique 📅 Friday, 16 January 🕒 14:00 – 15:30 A practical training session focused on building a strong foundation in Saidi dance. You will learn: • posture, steps & hip technique • traditional and modern assaya (stick) handling • rhythm, accents & movement vocabulary • short combinations to connect the technique into flow Level: some dance experience recommended, motivated beginners welcome. ⸻ 🔹 Workshop 2 – Saidi Choreography 📅 Saturday, 17 January 🕒 19:30 – 21:15 In this workshop we will learn a complete Saidi choreography using the stick — full of attitude, rhythm and character. We will work on: • musical interpretation & Saidi expression • transitions & performance flow • clean and powerful stick work • stage presence & confidence Level: ideal for dancers who also join the technique session, but open to anyone familiar with Saidi basics. ⸻ 💰 Prices Early Bird (valid until 30 December): • 29 € for one workshop • 49 € for both workshops together (Technique + Choreography) Regular Price (from 31 December): • 39 € for one workshop • 69 € for both workshops together ✅ Limited spots – booking required ✅ No refunds, but your spot may be transferred to another dancer ⸻ 📌 Practical Info Assaya (stick): Please bring your own stick if possible. If you need one, the studio can provide it — please let us know in advance. What to wear: Comfortable dance outfit. You may dance in socks, barefoot, or dance shoes — whatever feels stable and comfortable for you. Cancellation Policy
1. Booking & Payment • A spot is confirmed only after full payment is received. • Early bird price is valid until 24 November and must be paid before this date. • All bookings are made through the online system. 2. Cancellation & Refunds • All bookings are non-refundable. • If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your spot to another dancer. • If the workshop is cancelled by the organizer, a full refund will be issued. 3. Attendance • Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop to check in and change. • Workshops start on time — late arrivals may miss part of the content. 4. Footwear & Studio Rules • You may dance in socks, indoor dance shoes, or barefoot. • No street shoes are allowed on the dance floor. • Please respect the studio space, the teacher, and other participants. 5. Health & Responsibility • Participation is at your own risk. • Please inform the teacher of any injuries or limitations before the workshop. • By booking, you confirm that you are physically able to participate.
